Sprivo Privacy Pact
We know the snippets you stitch together in Sprivo aren't just random files - they're the quiet 10 minutes of sunset you caught on your walk, the blurry photo of your friend laughing so hard they snort, the 20-second voice note of your cat purring you wanted to hold onto. We built this tool to keep those pieces safe for you, and this pact lays out exactly how we handle every bit of information connected to your Sprivo experience.
🤍 Our Non-Negotiable Core Promise
Every piece of personal memory content you create in Sprivo stays 100% on your local device, full stop. We never upload, store, access, or process any of the following on our servers:
- Photos you upload for your daily memory entries (even the cropped, filtered, or watermarked versions you edit in the app)
- Your 280-character "whisper" text notes attached to entries
- 20-second voice recordings you add as soundscapes, plus your ambient track selections
- Your full stitched digital diary library and all browse/replay history of your own entries
If you delete the Sprivo app or clear your local app storage, all of your memory content is permanently erased. We hold no backup copies, ever - you retain full, exclusive ownership of every part of your personal scrapbook.
📊 Limited Data We Do Collect (And Exactly Why)
We only collect tiny, de-identified slices of account and behavioral data to keep the app running smoothly and show you relevant advertising. This data is never linked to the private memory content stored on your device:
- Basic account identifiers (if you choose to create an optional account to sync preferences across your own devices): display name, contact email you provide, and device ID
- Anonymous usage behavior data: how often you open the app, how many photos you add per session, which vintage filters you use most frequently, how long you spend in each step of the 4-step stitching flow, and whether you run into technical errors while using the app
We integrate Facebook and Adjust SDKs solely for ad delivery purposes. These SDKs only collect de-identified, non-personally identifiable device and usage data to serve you ads that align with your interests. No data shared with these partners is ever connected to your private memory content.
🔧 How We Use The Data We Collect
- Optimize product features: for example, if we see 70% of users use the same vintage filter every day, we'll add more similar filter options for you to enjoy
- Fix technical bugs and improve app performance: if we notice users crash when adding voice recordings, we'll prioritize fixing that issue in our next update
- Deliver relevant, non-intrusive advertising to support the free operation of Sprivo
- Respond to any support requests you send our way
We never sell any of the limited data we collect to third parties for any reason, outside of the required ad delivery data shared with our partner SDKs named above.
🎛️ Your Full Control Over Your Data
- You can erase all local memory content stored on your device at any time via the app settings menu
- You can opt out of personalized ad tracking directly through your device's system settings at any time, with no impact to your ability to use all of Sprivo's core features
- You can request that we delete any of the limited account or behavioral data we hold associated with your profile at any time by reaching out to our support team
🔒 Data Security
All limited account and behavioral data we hold is encrypted both in transit and at rest. We maintain strict access controls to ensure only core engineering team members working on app performance or support requests can access this data, and all access is logged and audited regularly.
📅 Pact Updates
We may update this privacy pact occasionally to reflect changes to our product features or operational practices. We will notify all users of any material changes via an in-app notification before the updated pact takes effect. Your continued use of Sprivo after the updated pact goes live constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
